Out of office or vacation reply in Google G suite

If you'll be away from your Gmail account, like on a vacation or without access to the Internet, you can set up a vacation responder to automatically notify people that you won't be able to get back to them right away. When people send you a message, they'll receive an email response containing what you've written in your vacation auto reply.

The message you set up will also be sent when you receive messages from your computer.

  • On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app Gmail.
  • the top left, tap Menu Menu.
  • Scroll to the bottom, then tap Settings.
  • Choose your account.
  • Tap Vacation responder..
  • At the top, turn the "Vacation responder" switch On On.
  • Fill in the date range, subject, and message.
  • Tap Done.
Change or reset your password in Google G suite

You can change your password for security reasons or reset it if you forget it. Your Google Account password is used to access many Google products, like Gmail and YouTube.

  • Open your Google Account. You might need to sign in.
  • Under "Security," select Signing in to Google.
  • Choose Password. You might need to sign in again.
  • Enter your new password, then select Change Password.
Add another email account to the Gmail app

  • Choose the type of account you want to add.
    If you use iCloud, @me.com, or @mac.com accounts, you might need to enter specific settings and an app password.
    If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  • Follow the steps on the screen to add your account. If available, tap Try Gmailify to get Gmail features with your added account, like spam protection and email categories.
Send & open confidential emails in Google G suite

You can send messages and attachments with Gmail's confidential mode to help protect sensitive information from unauthorized access. You can use confidential mode to set an expiration date for messages or revoke access at any time. Recipients of the confidential message will have options to forward, copy, print, and download disabled.

    iPhone & iPad

  • On your computer, go to Gmail.
  • Click Compose
  • In the bottom right of the window, click Turn on confidential mode Turn on confidential mode.
  • Set an expiration date and passcode. These settings impact both the message text and any attachments.
    If you choose "No SMS passcode," recipients using the Gmail app will be able to open it directly. Recipients who don't use Gmail will get emailed a passcode..
    If you choose "SMS passcode," recipients will get a passcode by text message. Make sure you enter the recipient's phone number, not your own.
  • Click Save.
